Completing Your Storefront

Add key business details to your Storefront! Our team of experts will review and update your Storefront content in order to improve your ranking across top search engines and help you convert our audience of engaged couples.

You can click the green ‘Complete your Storefront’ progress bar in the top right of your account to view the items needed to be considered a complete listing. If you’re missing any of these, you can click the tile visible on the Complete your Storefront page, or you can follow the steps below.

1. Add business contact information - Required

  • Log into your account
  • Click the 'Storefront' tab
  • Scroll down, and add your contact information in the text fields below ‘Contact information’ Click ‘Save’

2. Provide a description of your business and services - Required

  • Log into your account
  • Click the 'Storefront' tab
  • Add your description in the text field below ‘Describe your business and services’
  • Scroll down, click ‘Save’
  • Please note, our content team will review and update your ‘About Us’ with a professionally written business description based on our content requirements.

3. Upload at least 8 high quality photos - Required

  • Log into your account
  • Click the 'Storefront' tab
  • Click 'Photos' in the left menu
  • Click the ‘Add Photo’ button, or drag and drop the files to the photo icon in the center of the upload box (surrounded by the dotted line).
  • Once the photos have finished uploading, you’ll need to add a description for each one, and all need to be at least 5 characters in length
  • Scroll down, click ‘Save’
  • Please note, our content team will review and update your photos based on our content requirements

4. Add business address - Required

  • Log into your account
  • Click the 'Storefront' tab
  • Click ‘Location and map’ in the left menu
  • Add your zip code and street address – the city/state field is locked in to what you entered upon signup
  • If you need to change your city/state field, you’ll need to contact us

Storefront Content Requirements

After you create your account on ur cater&event, our content team will review and update your Storefront content in order to help improve your ranking across top search engines and convert our audience of engaged couples. Key updates include a unique, professionally written business description and curated set of high quality photos. We encourage you to update your Storefront so long as it meets the below requirements. Our team will review all updates and revise as necessary to ensure these requirements are consistently applied for all vendors.

Business Details

  • Your Business Name must be the verified name of your business listed on your business registration (such as a DBA).
  • Your Business Location must include a ZIP or postal code so that your listing is mapped to the correct region. All Ceremony and Reception Venues must include a full address.
  • Your Website URL must be an active website with information about your business. Note Facebook pages are acceptable if you do not have a business website.
  • Your Phone Number on your WeddingWire account must match the phone number listed on your business website.

Business Description

Your business description description, written by our team of content writers follow specific formatting guidelines to help maintain a consistent look and feel across WeddingWire, improve lead conversion and SEO. You may make edits to your business description at any point but any edits must adhere to the Content Requirements. These include but are not limited to:

  • You may not copy & paste any portion of your description from another source, including your own website. This has significant SEO ramifications.
  • Proper spelling and grammar.
  • Bold is used only for headings after the introduction paragraph.
  • Italics, underlines, any <html> styling tags, or hyperlinks should not be used.
  • All text should be left aligned.
  • Bulleted lists must contain at least three items, follow a sentence within the previous paragraph to introduce the list, and include a colon punctuation mark.
  • Descriptions must be written in the third person.
  • Language must be inclusive of all types of couples (e.g. try to use “couples” and avoid gender-specific words like “bride” and “groom.”)
  • Writing with a neutral tone — no lofty phrases​ such as​ “best wedding venue i​n ____."
  • Does not include promotional text, lists of awards, events, menus or reviews​.​

The description and section headers need to conform to the formatting guidelines which will depend on your type of service (Venue, Catering, Other Service Categories).

Note: Must include at least the bolded headers

4. High Quality Photos

WeddingWire requires high-quality photos showcasing the wedding-related services and/or products you offer. A minimum of 8 photos is required, including:

  • Your Main Image must be landscape orientation and adhere to the general photo guidelines below.
  • Photo Descriptions will be reviewed and updated by our content team for spelling, grammar, and to include a description of what is visible in the photo. Fully capitalized words are not accepted.
  • Ceremony and Reception Venues must feature at least one photo of the space where events are held.

Photos may be removed if they do not meet these guidelines. Reasons for removal include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Contact details such as website URL, email addresses, telephone numbers, or references to social media sites (#hashtags or @UserIDs).
  • Screenshots from computer screens or mobile devices.
  • Promotional or event posters, advertisements, award certificates, or logos.
    • Small watermarks/logos over photos that don’t include contact details are acceptable.
  • Photo montages, collages, framed photos, or blurred edges.
    • Exclusions apply to allow montages for Photographers, Videographers, Photo Booth, Beauty & Health, and Dress & Attire vendors (i.e. “before and after” photos and front and back views of dresses).
  • Photos displaying reviews from past customers.
  • Duplicate photos that appear in more than one album

Updating Your Business Website

To update your business website, follow the steps below:

  • Log into your account
  • Click the 'Storefront' tab
  • Scroll down to the ‘Contact information’ section
  • Add your website URL in the ‘Website’ field
  • Click ‘Save’
